Bio:
I am a Post-Doctoral Scholar at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), School of Management, Campus Heilbronn. My research is supported by the Add-on Fellowship for Interdisciplinary Economics of the Joachim Herz Foundation. Before starting my doctoral studies, I studied Business Administration at the University of Mannheim and LMU Munich. I was born and raised in Germany.
Research:
I delve into the overarching research question of how data
privacy in digital advertising should be regulated in the digital age. In current research projects, I investigate how privacy influences the use of digital technologies and how the regulation of these technologies affects value creation in the digital economy. Methodologically, my work relies on a broad range of quantitative approaches, with a particular focus on quasi-experimental designs. One finding of my research is that many mobile apps would not exist if targeted advertising would be banned.
